Edit Me SUMMER SHOW OFF

My SUMMER SHOW OFF pic.....chose a simple one of my son drawing by the window....=) I used PSE10 for this edit. 1) enhanced his eyes a bit by using the magnetic lasso tool, outlining both eyes, ctrl+J,selecting the high pass filter, set to 20, the changed layer to soft light. 2) brighten the pic up a notch 3) sharpened and defogged. DONE..didnt do alot because of the natural light....!

Yes it's sooo true...I'm having a lil babe<3 Something I've wanted for SO long now, of course this is MY life so things don't always fall the way they are supposed to, in the conventional world. I got pregnant once again out of wed lock..OH NO, stone me now! Honestly, I'm not proud of it, my plans were to meet a wonderful man, get married, wait a few months and get pregnant since I'm going to be turecspening 30 in about a year and my clock was a'tickin. BUT, God had other plans for me. I was dating a man for a bout 5 years, a good man to Ayvin, somewhat like a stepfather, he WAS going to be his actual stepfather, but we went our seperate ways, a few times actually. We kept coming back to each other, thinking that this time would be different, that we would 'get along' maybe? We finally called it quits, I met a man...had one crazy night with him, began dating and bam...one month later I find out I'm having his baby. To my surprise, he didn't run or tell me to get out of his sight (that came later..lol) He was supportive, said we will get through this, took it better than myself! Then the ex had to let us know shew as there and she began saying things to him to sway him. Of course, it worked and he went through a phase of not wanting anything to do with me. I let it be. I let him go and figure it out on his own. Of course a week later, he let me know he wasn;t going anywhere and yes they were back to gether but if she couldn't handle this, she wasn't going to be around. We knew then she wouldn't be able to. What woman could? Ecspecially one who only came to him out of spite? SHe didnt care for him. nor did she wanna be with him but she sure as hell didn't want anyone else having his baby..long story short...we're having a girl and were SOOOO happy.....about the fact that were having a girl, not together. WE have chosen to build a friendship (since we skipped that part..lol) and then later down the road..maybeeee marraige. Yes I care for him, but we still have alot of work to do. He's unbelievably supportive...and I can tell he's really diggin' my pregnant look...;) Since this is all NEW to me again, after 9 years of NOT having babies, and i'm older now, I'm soaking everything in, I want to start writing to my daughter (Delaney Ruth...)about all of this that I'v went through, jsut for her. I love her. I guess if I didn't do things backwards I wouldn't do them at all. =)

EDIT ME CHALLENGE: Baby Jonah=)

I've been out of the EDIT ME challenge for a few months now and I am absolutely in LOVE with this week's photo of baby Jonah. Here is my entry followed by a before and after version for everyone to see....=) My computer crashed so I had to use Picnik, not as many options to edit with but I did what I could.I first adjusted the lighting using the exposure tool, sharpened and clarified a bit, then tweeked the tempature of the photo, I then used the ORTONISH effect to add some softness, then I went into the advanced tab and messed with the LEVELS of the photo to enhance a few features, I also brightened his eyes (tried to anyway, Picnik is nothing like LR or PSE9 *sad face*)...I also added a bit of the CROSS PROCESSING effect...and there u have it!

Super-Human aka Mom

Don't get me wrong, I love photography. But I need a little more education in it and I have already gotten one degree that I don't use. So, I might as well put those skills and that degree to use before I get too rusty, while brushing up on my skills behind the lens. I'm a mom, so adding a full time job, a few night classes, and keeping my business on the side won't BLOG me down...I'm super human. 'can't nobody hooooold me down,,ooh no,,, I got to keep on mooooovin''......In the midst of all of these NEW decisions to make, I had a lovely photoshoot with a lovely pregnant couple gettign ready to welcome a babyboy named Jaxon=) super fun!

So this is the cool kid who has allowed me to take his senior photos! The only one so far, but that's completely fine! Practice is practice right? Plus taking senior photos seem to lead to the most creative sessions ever=)

Indiana finally had a nice snow storm which means I'm getting outside and taking some cute lil snow pictures of whatever my heart desires! My 8 year old son is home from school so I may just have to bribe him into letting me take some..! FYI..He isn't very cooperative when it comes to taking pictures of him because Ive taken sooo many..LOl.=(

My Hunger to Learn is growing....having hunger pains!

I am so completely happy to have found the Edit Me Challenge....I have all of the right equipment, PSE and LR, a nifty Nikon D90 camera...just lacking the knowledge of what to do with all of it. My passion is photography and I enjoy sharing it with others and reading/ hearing what others have to say about my work and seeing how they come up with their final products. This is what makes me unbelievably happy and every time I learn something or see something new...I somehow have to immediately apply ot to my everyday life and photos. I looked at my blog today (which is fairly new, yes Ive had it since last Dec but I haven't done much with it until last week..) and noticed that I dont have ANY of my recent photos up, I definitely have my work cut out for me tonight..Good Night Fellow bloggers=)

I used PSE 9, cropped it down a bit, used the cloning tool to remove the window, adjusted the lighting and contrast, used the fibers filter and adjusted the opacity to reveal the sweet boy then erased the fibers ontop of him, applyed Florabella's Pollyanna and adjusted the opacity, sharpened and defogged, finally I applied florabellas vanity and adjusted the opacity, gave the picture an antique feel. WAAHLA!

Cheers to the NEW YEAR...

Hellooo out there...! Just got done reviewing all of my previous blogs from 2011, I almost deleted them becasue they were so depressing BUT I've decided to keep them posted. For the simple fact that this is my blog for a reason, its my journal, per say. Its here for me to vent and for me to reflect on when I'm having a great day or even a bad one. It helps me put things into perspective and to reailze how much my outlook on life has changed, I was in such a dark place in 2011, only makes me look for a much brighter one in 2012. If you read my blog from New years 2011, I didn't make a specific ny resolution, which may have been the beginning of my problems for that year, so I am FOR SURE making one this year and it shall be: That I will lose 20 lbs before April. YES, I am going to do it, I read one of my blogs where it said I just want to sleep and eat and enjoy the time off I had from work..WELL lets just say that I enjoyed it a little too much and gained 17 lbs...PUKE. I am hoping the best gfor myselg this new year, I am going to enjoy like to the fullest ad not be such a Debbie Downer, those are never fun to be around. Time to stop complaining and start changing.
